Dead Things Come to Life
Sunday, 3rd March 2024
Dead things can come alive! Believe it!
This year holds the promise of transformation: what seems hopeless will be infused with life, what appears barren will bear fruit, and what is broken will be restored—all for the glory of God. No matter how impossible the situation may seem, faith in God's power to resurrect the seemingly dead areas of our lives is crucial. You have to declare and believe things that are not as if they are!
This is a call to bold action, not passive waiting. Through fervent prayer, unwavering belief, and active cooperation with God, we can witness divine intervention and breakthroughs. Let go of hopelessness and embrace unwavering faith, for God's resurrection power is not a thing of the past—it's still available today!
Prayer isn't just a casual conversation; it's a relentless pursuit of God's presence and power. Like the Syrophoenician woman, we must persist in faith until our prayers are answered. Prayerless Christians are hopeless Christians; only those who dare to pray big, bold prayers see mountains move.
Belief is not optional. We must anchor ourselves in the promises of God and refuse to waver, no matter the severity of the storms. Like Martha, we must believe against all odds, declaring with conviction that our Lazarus will come forth.
But belief alone is not enough. We must also work with God, cooperating with His plans and directives. Miracles require action—rolling away the stone, loosening the grave clothes. God does the impossible, but He expects us to do our part.
So, let us declare boldly: Your Lazarus is coming forth in Jesus' name—for the glory of God!
In John 11:1-4, we witness a profound declaration by Jesus: "This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified through it." Martha, too, faced a moment of profound faith. In John 11:20-25, she expressed her grief and disappointment that Jesus had not arrived in time to prevent her brother's death. Yet, in the midst of her sorrow, she proclaimed her belief in Jesus as the resurrection and the life. And then, at the tomb, Jesus commanded the stone to be rolled away. Martha, hesitant due to the stench of death, was reminded by Jesus: "Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?" (John 11:40). And indeed, as they obeyed and removed the stone, Lazarus emerged from the grave, alive once more, a powerful testament to the resurrection power of Jesus Christ.
So, let us take heed of this powerful scripture. In the face of what seems dead and hopeless in our lives, let us remember the words of Jesus: "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live" (John 11:25).
Through prayer, unwavering belief, and active cooperation with God, let us declare boldly: Your Lazarus is coming forth in Jesus' name—for the glory of God!
