The Broadcast Video Editor - Bloemfontein is responsible for editing video content for Sunday services, creating promotional clips for TV broadcasts, and producing announcements, pre-announcements, and offering segments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in broadcasting, technical, filming, and video editing, along with the ability to introduce innovative ideas through filming and editing. Additionally, this role includes assisting overseeing the Broadcast Volunteer teams. Skills in graphic design for broadcast will be advantageous
Key Responsibilities
Sunday Service Video Editing
Edit video content for Sunday services to ensure high-quality broadcast production.
Enhance footage with color correction, audio adjustments, and visual effects as needed.
TV Broadcast Promotional Clips
Create engaging promotional clips for TV broadcasts, maintaining brand consistency and audience engagement.
Optimize content for various broadcast platforms and formats.
Announcements & Offering Segments
Produce clear, impactful announcement and pre-announcement videos.
Edit offering segments with attention to messaging and visual appeal.
Filming & Content Innovation
Contribute creative ideas for filming and editing to enhance production quality.
Work closely with the production team to execute innovative visual storytelling techniques.
Broadcast Volunteer Team
Assist in overseeing and coordinating Broadcast Volunteer teams.
Provide guidance and training to volunteers in video editing and production best practices.
Qualifications & Skills
Essential
Degree or certification in Film Production, Media Studies, or related fields (preferred but not required).
Proven experience with a strong portfollo in video editing across various projects.
Proficient in editing software, including the full Adobe Suite (Adobe Premiere Pro) or Final Cut Pro, and DaVinci Resolve, with a strong understanding of audio and visual effects tools. Experience with graphic design software like Photoshop is highly beneficial.
Understanding of video production and post-production workflows, and familiarity with video formats and codecs
Preferred
Strong storytelling and visual design skills, with attention to detail in pacing and continuity.
Excellent communication and ability to work under tight deadlines with teams or clients.
Strong time management, able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Adaptable with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
Skilled in syncing audio and video, and improving audio quality.
Awareness of digital trends and social media formats

Must be based in Bloemfontein.
Flexible availability, including weekends, evenings and event days.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Willingness to collaborate with ministry leaders and staff
